Cut from the shoulder, boneless chuck roast can be used in many ways. It makes the classic pot roast comfort dish. Sear it in a cast iron skillet, then into the oven or crockpot for a long, low and slow cook. Add water after searing for a rich, beefy broth. Chuck roast can also go on the smoker for a finished beef roast with an end result that is very similar in texture to Boston Butt and can be shredded for sandwiches.
